Dan is a musical director, arranger and orchestrator as well as a multi-instrumentalist playing piano, clarinet, saxophone and flute. Dan trained at Leeds Conservatoire on the Classical course, specialising in clarinet, and graduated in 2019. He then went on to gain a Masters in Musical Direction at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts on the MA Musical Direction course graduating in 2020.

Dan now works primarily in the musical theatre industry working on musicals, pantomimes as well as teaching at some of the UK's top drama schools, such as Italia Conti, Arts Ed, Bird College and Momentum Performing Arts Academy. ​He has lead the Woolwich Singers Choir since 2021.  

Dan frequently works with young people, having facilitated youth projects with the Bernie Grant Arts Centre and Hackney Music Development Trust as well conducting his own private music tuition. He has also worked with The Royal Shakespeare Company.

Dan is extremely proficient in Dorico and Logic X and expertly creates MIDI backing tracks using industry-standard virtual instruments for the use in musicals and pantomimes. He is also skilled at creating clear and effective metronome click tracks and also programming keyboards within MainStage.
